Catalogue of the 12th edition of the scientific photography competition, Fotciencia in which the winning images of the competition are shown, in addition to a selection made by its Panel. Fotciencia is a competition organised by FECYT and CSIC and the Jesús Serra Foundation has also collaborated in the last two editions.

An analysis prepared by ICONO on Spanish participation in the ERC Programme of the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Development (FP7). It includes an analysis of the evolution of calls for projects financed and requested, success rates, autonomous communities and centres. 

For another year, FECYT is publishing this yearbook, which includes the best news, reports and interviews in different scientific areas published at the SINC Agency in 2014. This year, science has given us headlines as important as that appearing in the interview with the engineer Miguel Pérez de Ayúcar, group leader in the Rosetta mission: "Many high-level Spanish people are involved in the engineering of this project".

In the framework of the Year of Mathematics of Planet Earth (MPE2013), sponsored by UNESCO and hundreds of institutions from all over the world, FECYT and the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (ICMAT) joined this initiative, publishing this Teaching Unit, which provides tools to include the most cutting-edge and innovative mathematic research with respect to these subjects in classrooms.

For a second year, the Royal Society, FECYT and the Ramón Areces Foundation organised a new edition of "Networking Nations: Scientific Opportunities in the UK and Spain". The event was held in Madrid on 21 January 2014 in collaboration with the British Embassy in Madrid and the Spanish Embassy in London. This publication includes the sessions led by British and Spanish scientists who participated in this event which tackled one of the societal challenges of Horizon 2020: safe, sustainable and clean energy.
