Last 2nd and 3rd June, Spanish scientists who are working currently in the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark and Sweden, all gathered in Glasgow or Berlin. As in previous occasions, these activities had the support and collaboration from the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and the Secretary of State for Research, Development and Innovation.

If I wanted to carry out any stage of my research career in Spain, what funding sources could I apply for? What are the calls at the European, national or regional level to carry out my research in a public centre? And what if I wanted to do research in Industry?

Last Friday, April 6, the Association of Spanish Researchers in the Italian Republic (ASIERI) brought together Spanish and Italian researchers at the Tor Vergata University in Rome. The session, co-organized by ASIERI and the Dipartimento di studi letterari, filosofici e di storia dell'arte (ALEF) of the Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata", counted with the collaboration and support of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and the Ministry of Education of the Embassy of Spain in Italy.

El pasado 6 de abril la Asociaci√≥n de Investigadores Espa√Īoles en la Rep√ļblica Italiana (ASIERI) congreg√≥ a investigadores espa√Īoles e italianos en la Universidad Tor Vergata de Roma, quienes pudieron¬†conocer ayudas, convocatorias y¬† contratos¬† para realizar investigaci√≥n en Espa√Īa y Europa.

In its role as coordinator of the EURAXESS Spain Network to support the mobility of researchers, the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology published in 2017 the third edition of the Guide for the management of mobility of foreign researchers in Spain .

FECYT present√≥ este 14 de marzo la gu√≠a para la movilidad de personal investigador extranjero en Espa√Īa a la Red de diplomacia cient√≠fica en Madrid.¬† La gu√≠a informa sobre la tramitaci√≥n de los permisos de residencia, el sistema de Seguridad Social y desempleo, o la homologaci√≥n de t√≠tulos.

On February 15th, FECYT organized the panel ‚ÄúThe rol of researchers in open science and open innovation‚ÄĚ ¬†in the¬†Transfiere¬† Forum. The goal of the session was to discuss with a number of researchers and innovators that have developed part of their careers outside academia and/or are exploring open science and innovation, their own experiences and impressions about their careers and the challenges they are facing.

El 15 de febrero,¬†FECYT organiz√≥ en el Foro Transfiere el panel ‚ÄúEl papel de los investigadores en la ciencia y la innovaci√≥n abierta‚ÄĚ en el que particip√≥ un grupo de investigadoras e innovadoras que han desarrollado parte de su carrera fuera de la academia y que est√°n apostando por la ciencia y la innovaci√≥n abiertas.
