This manual aims to be a tool for self-evaluation of the quality of Spanish scientific journals that wish to become professional and choose to be considered internationally. It is a comprehensive guide of the bases, criteria and methodology in the evaluation of scientific journals. FECYT has established journal evaluation criteria that allow them to be classified, with the objective of supporting publications of proven quality and professionalism.

In order to implement a new subject called 'Science for Today's World' (CCMC) in schools next year, FECYT and the Teacher Training Higher Education Institute (ISFP) have developed this manual. It was created by a group of teachers from different fields who are all connected to this new subject in some way. This publication was developed by focusing on the creation of topic areas that make CCMC content available to teachers. This content includes information, expertise and teaching techniques that may be of use in the classroom.
