The FECYT Activity Report 2015 includes the most important milestones achieved during this year.
In 2012 FECYT conducted the VI Survey on the Social Perception of Science and Technology. This survey followed the same structure as the questionnaires from previous years in addition to using the sample size necessary for achieving results that are representative of each Autonomous Community. The main issues being studied are interest, information, assessment, attitudes and government policies for the promotion of scientific and technological research.
The FECYT Activity Report 2014 includes the most important milestones achieved during the past year, such as the transfer of MUNCYT to Alcobendas, the launch of the crowdfunding platform, Pecipita, or the success of the scientific outreach programme, Órbita Laika. It also reflects the intense outreach activity with the Summer Science Campuses, the Fotciencia scientific photograph competition, the Science Weekend or the Famelab scientific monologue competition, and the support for the State Department of R&D+I in the measuring and monitoring of public R&D+I policies through ICONO, as well as in the study and implementation of the open access policies, the development of the Normalised Curriculum Vitae and the management of databases of bibliographic references (Web of Science and Scopus).
This publication shows the evolution of the most significant statistical variables over the 2000-2012 period, and also includes both the comparison in the international context and the distribution by autonomous community in all cases in which information is available.
Many of the pieces of news, reports and interviews published by the SINC Agency in 2013 have occupied the pages and front pages of important communication media outlets, both national and international. For the first time, this edition includes a month to month account of 365 days of scientific news consisting of a large selection of the most relevant milestones in science in 2013. Furthermore, the yearbook boasts another new section that presents the year's scientific awards, several of which were received by Spaniards.
