FECYT presents in Düsseldorf the new offers for researchers in Spain

On November 17th, FECYT traveled to Düsseldorf (Germany) to present at the Nature Career Expo, the new professional opportunities for researchers in Spain.
The public presentation of the Society of Spanish Researchers in Swizterland (ACECH) took place in the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich on November 15th. The goal of the meeting, attended by around 90 participants, was to introduce the association to the Spanish researchers´ community in Switzerland.
FECYT, as coordinator of the EURAXESS Spain Network, participates in the EURAXIND project with the mission of analyzing the current relationship of the EURAXESS initiative with industry, identifying good practices, and generating materials and tools, all with the aim of bringing the initiative closer to the companies.
On Friday 26th of May, the “Science in the Classroom” project was once more underway in the Spanish School Vicente Cañada Blanch, in London. On this occasion, students were able to gain an insight into the astonishing world of material sciences, thanks to the Senior technologist in Zotefoams, Patricia Forcen Jimenez.
Last 27th April, the Spanish School Vicente Cañada Blanch in London held another sesión of “Science in the Classroom”, delivered by the Spanish architect Alberto Villanueva Galindo, Associate Lecturer and researcher in the University of Ravensbourne and director of IDEA architecture office.
Last 8th May, the Spanish embassy in London held the seminar “Science in Spain 2017 – Biotech Industry” Science in Spain 2017 – Biotech Industry”, which is part of the campaign “Science in Spain” that aims to promote internationally the Spanish system for science, technology and innovation.
The first session of the "Science in the classroom" program was held at the bilingual Berlin school "Friedensburg Oberschule" on 5th April, as a result of the collaboration of the Office of Education of the Spanish Embassy in Berlin with FECYT.
Last 14th March, students from the Spanish School Vicente Cañada Blanch in London had a new session of “Science in the Classroom”, which was delivered by Amparo Sánchez Mañez, from the Conselleria de Sanidad Universal y Salud Pública (Valencia, Spain).
El pasado 24 de febrero, se celebró una nueva sesión de “Ciencia en el aula” en el Instituto Español Vicente Cañada Blanch de Londres. Los estudiantes de 1º y 2º de Bachillerato recibieron a Fernando González Zalba, investigador del Hitachi Cambridge Laboratory,con el que debatieronsobre los “Cinco grandes retos científicos para futuros investigadores”.
In 2014, the European Commission (EC) set up the “Research, Innovation, and Science Policy Experts" (RISE) high level group (HLG). The group gives direct strategic support to the European Commissioner for research, innovation, and science, Carlos Moedas, and to the European Commission.
