The Postgraduate and Specialization Department of the Spanish National Research Council organized on November 14th 2018 its first event introducing alternative career paths for researchers beyond academia.
For the third year in a row, the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology publishes several booklets and publications with job opportunities for researchers at Spanish institutions in 2018 and 2019.
Last 2nd and 3rd June, Spanish scientists who are working currently in the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark and Sweden, all gathered in Glasgow or Berlin. As in previous occasions, these activities had the support and collaboration from the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and the Secretary of State for Research, Development and Innovation.

Last Friday, April 6, the Association of Spanish Researchers in the Italian Republic (ASIERI) brought together Spanish and Italian researchers at the Tor Vergata University in Rome. The session, co-organized by ASIERI and the Dipartimento di studi letterari, filosofici e di storia dell'arte (ALEF) of the Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata", counted with the collaboration and support of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and the Ministry of Education of the Embassy of Spain in Italy.
In its role as coordinator of the EURAXESS Spain Network to support the mobility of researchers, the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology published in 2017 the third edition of the Guide for the management of mobility of foreign researchers in Spain .
Last 4th and 5th October, FECYT organized a seminar in the Spanish embassy in London and had a promotional stand in NatureJobs Career Expo London, respectively.
As part of the EURAXESS initiative, aiming at promoting the mobility of scientific talent in Europe, FECYT publishes the fifth edition of the “Guidelines for the management of the mobility of the foreign researcher in Spain 2017” and an executive summary.
The “Science in Spain 2017-2018” collection compiles several booklets and publications with job opportunities for researchers at different career stages of tens of Spanish institutions in 2017 and 2018.
