FECYT participates in the project EURAXIND to strengthen the EURAXESS services for the private sector and to foster intersectoral mobility. Traditionally, the members of the EURAXESS national networks are located in organizations belonging to the public R+D+i systems, so EURAXESS services mostly reach researchers in the public sector.

FECYT, as national coordinator of the EURXAESS Spain network, participates in the project EURAXIND lead by the British organization Vitae, a global leader in supporting the professional development of researchers. This project aims at reinforcing the services EURAXESS can offer to organizations and researchers in the private sector, with the objective of supporting intersectoral mobility.

On May 18th and 19th, the Kick-off Meeting of the project took place on London, England, where the work planned by each partner was discussed. FECYT will lead the task of identifying existing good practices in academia-industry collaboration within the EURAXESS national networks. This information, together with a literature review, will be the basis for designing an Employer Engagement Tool to facilitate academia to collaborate with industry.

About EURAXESS: EURAXESS is an initiative launched by the European Commission that is present in 40 countries and aims at supporting researchers in issues related to mobility and professional development.

About the project: EURAXIND (EURAXSS for Industry) is a project financed by the European Commission through the Horizon 2020 programme with 812.237€ of budget and 24 months of duration (May 2016 – April 2018). The project is led by Vitae, with the participation of the EURAXESS national coordinators of Austria, Netherlands, Hungary and Israel, together with FECYT.
